A collaboration with Alexandra Powell, B.F.A. Fashion, beading garments inspired by space travel. This collection walked the runway at SCAD FASH 2018 in Savannah and Atlanta, Georgia.
Family in Many Places — 2017
I am lucky enough to have family in many places on this Earth. This is a map of locations I have cared for deeply. Beaded embroideries lay in a laser cut wooden circle. Chapel Hill, N.C. Savannah, G.A. Monterrey, M.X.
The Places You Will Go… — 2013 to 2016
Growing up, I was lucky to be able to travel to Europe. This sparked a sense of joy and adventure for me, inspiring me to document countries I have visited with their flags. I no longer keep up with this practice, but I am happy to have fond memories stitched in each souvenir.
Lacoste, France — 2016
In the Spring of 2016 I lived in the small village of Lacost, France. There, I research local crafts and artisans, creating small embroideries dyed with Provençal pigment and stitched with local thread, all inspired by adventures on the south of France.
